I really do enjoy writing my in blogs and now that I have recovered and am rested I am writing again. I have been kicking around the planet for nearly eighty years. It's been a hell of a ride and I think - hope that I managed to learn a few things along the way.
I am an absolute news freak and have always followed the conditions on the planet very closely. I hate to be a real downer, but I feel obligated to share my observations with all four of my Blog followers. I want to talk about what's happening right now and how it is going to affect the future of many people, keeping in mind that many people act like they don't care if they fall through the cracks, so to speak.
Everyone should realize by now that conditions in the USA and other countries are very bad right now and will get worse for many Americans. Our government is too busy spending money micro managing the rest of the world to solve our serious problems here at home where it really counts. This is basically the fault of congress who make and have made the final decisions and passed the laws that have made all of the current terrible conditions possible. Loopholes in the election laws have made it possible for even foreign countries to buy influence in our congress. It has nothing to do with political parties and everything to do with influence peddling. We have been sold out by our own congress!
So let's get to the bottom line here. We can all see this coming, but how can we either stop it, or at least protect ourselves? It may be easier to take the proper steps now to protect ourselves than to stop this juggernaut of a runaway government. If you don't sit down right now and make a plan for your own future this is what I predict will happen to at least one third of the working and unemployed Americans over the next ten to twenty years. First of all, do not plan on anyone else making a plan for you!
My personal outlook based upon the current conditions is that you are going to see many Americans unemployed and homeless.
You will see thousands of Americans dying from freezing, starvation, sickness, and lack of medical care, and that is just the short version of what I envision. You will see our so called allies abandon us and gleefully watch us sink into the quicksand! This brings up a point. You cannot micro manage the world while standing knee deep in quicksand! Based upon their past performance our self indulgent do nothing congress is only going to make matters worse and I mean both parties. One is as bad as the other.
If I were you I would start working on a survival plan that includes some kind of an income very soon now because the hand writing is up there and it does not look good.
Oh, by the way, one last prediction. If the Republicans do not pull a real fresh and brilliant candidate out of their upcoming convention they will not win the Presidential election. I don't thing they wand to win the last election and I doubt they want to win this one either. I am a centrist myself. I don't trust any politicians. Did you ever see such a mess in your life! We need to put Americans back to work now!

Dolphins being Stranded on Cape Cod Massachusetts by Walt Barrett
Scientists are puzzled by another rash of Dolphins being stranded on Cape Cod. I'll put my two cents in by suggesting that the recent very strong solar flares have caused magnetic anomalies in the area that could be affecting the Dolphin's ability to navigate. The distance from the Cape Cod to the Bermuda Triangle by the way is a little over 700 miles. Now let's see what the scientists have to say about that.

It's An Addiction by Walt Barrett
I had a phone conference this morning with Susan Blair our national and international sales manager. One of the topics that we discussed is that there are literally millions of people on the Internet who spend endless time reading about making extra money on the Internet with some kind of a business. The numbers are staggering and we can tell by our own experience that only a small fraction of these people ever really follow through in spite of the fact that we bend over backwards to make the process as inexpensive and as simple as possible. Many of these people have written to us several times over the past years and still have not made a move towards starting even a part time business. We have visions of them sitting around and talking about it, but never going any further. I have been marketing products for easily fifty-five years and I can tell you that it has always been that way in my lifetime. Many people only dream of a business, but never get off the dime. Sometimes I think that is why it is called "The American Dream"!
Now here in Rhode Island where I have lived for most of my life I can show you examples of other people many of whom came here as immigrants with virtually no money in their pockets and started little cottage type industries, became multimillionaires over the years and retired. The difference is that they had a plan when they came here and they stuck to it. No matter what it took - they did it! What they didn't do is they didn't sit around all day talking and dreaming about it and there wasn't any Internet to browse endlessly all day either. All I'm saying is pick a widely in demand proven product, or service, make a business plan, start small, give the best quality and service, then move forward and don't look back! There will be bumps along the way and the business will change in many ways as you grow so be prepared for that. Keep your expenses down, your work ethic up, and remember my famous saying that "Overhead is the monster that eats businesses" so take it easy on the expenses

A Money Saving Tip From Walt Barrett
Here is a tip that over your life time will save you a great deal of money and who doesn't need to save money in this economy? The next time that you have to purchase a battery for one of your vehicles, or other pieces of equipment be sure to get one with filler caps so you can add distilled water when needed. Believe me, I know because I own a battery company. Let me give you a little history.
Every time we come across a relatively new sealed battery that has failed prematurely, and that happens quite often, we autopsy it by drilling into the top of it and scoping the inside. We usually find that it is out of electrolyte which is as mixture of distilled water and sulfuric acid. That is because there is no such thing really as a sealed battery. If the battery was really sealed it could blow up while recharging because during the charging process vapors and gases are given off. Without the vents the battery would build up pressure inside and then you know the rest of that story.
The solution to premature battery failure is very simple. Buy a battery with service caps so that you can check it every 30 days and add distilled water to any cells that are low. This by the way, is the policy in just about every military application that I have ever seen. At the same time, you can check the battery condition with an inexpensive tester called a hydrometer. This water loss could be normal, or it could be caused by over charging due to a faulty charging regulator. You only have to do this once a month and it is well worth the time. Check all of your belts and other fluids at the same time. You can consult your owner's hand book or the Internet.
The next step in the process is that if you have to add water to your battery cells I strongly recommend using distilled water which you can buy at the super market for about $1.00 a gallon. I don't care what anyone else says. I have seen the insides of too many batteries that have been destroyed by bad tap water full of harmful minerals. Do not over fill. Just add enough to cover the top of the cell plates by about 1/8th of an inch.
WARNING: BATTERIES WITH LOW WATER LEVELS CAN EXPLODE!
Always wear eye, face and clothing protection if you service your own battery.
Another thing, in case you do not like getting stuck somewhere, especially in the middle of the night, be sure to have your battery cables cleaned and checked for damage twice a year minimum because they tend to crumble and rot from battery acid corrosion. It is always a good idea to learn the basic maintenance checks for your vehicle and look under the hood a minimum of once a month, or at least go to a full service gasoline or repair station once a month and have them check the belts, battery, and all of the fluid levels. That's what you are paying the extra price per gallon for. Back in the day it was normal procedure, but too many people ignore the procedures today. Just imagine if our airlines did that! Well the safety of your car is just as important. One more thing, if you want to learn more about automotive and forklift batteries there is a full free training program including videos at:

More Jobs For Americans by Walt Barrett
Logic Dictates that if we are ever going to repair our sick economy we are going to have to bring back and create more new jobs for Americans. Politicians are mouthing the words, but please notice that none of them from either side are getting down to specifics except for one and I'm not here to promote political candidates so you can find that one out for yourself. Besides, he can't do it because congress won't let him even if he gets elected, which he won't.
So we have decided here at our company to take matters into our own hands in our own small way and start a new division in the USA where we already manufacture 95% of our products.
I'm writing about this because I'm hoping it will inspire others who are a lot bigger than us to follow suit. Business cannot be all about cheap labor and excess profits at the expense of our entire economy and labor force. If Americans don't have any money they cannot buy products at any price and it appears to me the the chickens are already coming home to roost. I predict that many if the big box stores will close their doors this year. I have been saying it for months.
I have personally decided to take a gamble on getting things moving in the right direction by in my own small way starting a trend in the right direction to reverse the job situation in our country. So we have decided to enter the very competitive market of Green Laundry Detergent and have added an Internet twist and a very attractive price combined with a green product. We are actually selling 5 gallons delivered to your door in the Continental USA for only $10.95 delivered. It is a simply add water kit that I have developed personally and have done considerable field testing on already. It is for both HE and regular washers. Our testing has been very successful and now we are moving forward. This is a big gamble for us and we can either win big, or fail big, but to me, it's worth the effort.
Please visit our new site and help us create new jobs for Americans.

Time and Money by Walt Barrett
What is time? Logic dictates that time is several things. To my scientist side it means that although time may be infinite, I only have a certain amount of it to spend. To my businessman side, time is a form of currency. Lets focus on the business side today. In order to acquire success, or the things that you need in life, because that is also success, you have to spend time. How you spend your time has a great deal to do with how much your ration of time is and how much your ration of success is. If you abuse your health badly for example, you won't have as much time to worry about your successful future.
I'll give you an example. Lots of times when I meet a person for the first time they will tell me how "lucky" I am to have such a successful business. That is my cue to smile and tell them that "luck had nothing to do with it. I worked sixteen hour days for 15 years to build our Internet business". I'm not complaining either because I enjoy the business building process. I work hard and I play hard, I take great vacations and I spend lots of time with my family. So what's my point? My point is that we all have to ration our time properly unless we really don't care about being successful. In that case, squander all the time you want. Everyone really knows this but they just need to be reminded from time to time. It's very easy to fall into the abyss, but oh so difficult to climb back out.
You cannot find success by browsing the Internet all day, or by playing the various games and chatting on the social networking pages. The Key word about the Internet is "networking" Since 1995 I have made my best connections for both business contacts and products to sell by browsing the Internet. But, I had to budget my time because in the beginning I found myself addicted to it. You have to set aside time to work and time to browse. It's the same with all of the other pastimes in life like watching TV, playing video games, drinking, drugs, smoking, gambling and on and on and on. They are all addictive to humans. So all I am saying is that life, health, and success all boil down to choices. No one is telling you what to do. This is just my simple view of time, health, success, and money. I just want to make a point that success is not about luck and it is all about time. There is a time to work, a time to play, and a time to study and improve your lot in life. It's in your hands and no one else's.
Personally I gave up blaming other people for my failures a long time ago. It didn't help a bit.
